My first blog from The Galaxy!

Hello Everyone!

How are you all doing? I'm pretty good, a quick blog today as there isn't too much to say yet!

Had some pretty good flights, nothing like last time where I was running for planes! It was definitely cold in Calgary and Frankfurt though! So cold in Frankfurt we were delayed leaving cause they could only open one runway. Made it to Rome Thursday afternoon (Rome Time), the hotel was right at the airport so it didn't take too long to get there, just a little painful to haul all of my bags on the walk! When I arrived, I decided to take a shower to get all cleaned up and revive myself for getting out to see Rome - unfortunately, instead of revived, I pretty much just fell asleep on the bed! So unfortunately this time through Rome, my view was from the hotel window and the bus to the ship! There wasn't much to see except some countryside...Oh well, next time!

It was very windy when we arrived at the port - the ship almost didn't make it into the port that morning because of the high winds and of course as soon as we left, it was VERY windy, and VERY rought weather, so I was rather sick all evening and night - only getting better later the next morning after we reached some calmer weather - and by calmer I mean maybe we were only in 20 foot waves! I heard one crew member say that someone saw the propeller come out of the water! We were definitely rockin' and rollin' and not in a good way! Hopefully that's the last of the bad weather - I'm told the last couple of times they have crossed the Atlantic, it's been quite smooth.

So, the office is good, still have a window to see outside - yeah! The financial Controller seems great - nice guy, the Guest Account Purser that I work with is from Vancouver, so it's great to work with someone from home. Today we were in Cartagena, Spain, but unfortunately we had boat drill this morning and then training almost all afternoon, so no chance to get out, I didn't even grab my camera and go out to take pictures - just came directly to the computer to tell you about how things are going!

Tomorrow we will be in Gibralter - training is in the morning, so hopefully I can go out in the afternoon! After that we'll have 1 day at sea before we get to the Canary Islands!

Anyways, hope to hear from you all soon! But better get this posted and offline so I'm not spending too much on internet! love you! miss you all!
